Awards & Certifications

Quality, sustainability, and responsible business practices are key components of our hotel concept. This commitment has already been recognized and validated.

The Hotel St. Elisabeth received the DEHOGA Gold Environmental Certification for its particularly environmentally conscious and sustainable practices.

Our accessibility has also been certified by the Association of Christian Hoteliers (VCH).

Sustainability

For us, using natural resources thoughtfully is an integral part of hospitality. We make sure to use energy and water responsibly, minimize waste, and prioritize regional and seasonal foods whenever possible.

As part of the fair.nah.logisch initiative, we are working together with Hegne Abbey to promote the sustainable and fair use of food and resources.

Our location—nestled between the monastery, nature, and Lake Constance—reminds us every day to treat our environment and God’s creation with respect.

Accessible to people with disabilities – barrier-free

The Hotel St. Elisabeth is largely designed to be accessible. Wide doors and easily accessible areas make it easier to use our rooms, conference rooms, and public areas.

Places of Silence and Spirituality

In our fast-paced and often hectic times, the Hotel St. Elisabeth offers various retreats that invite guests to linger, find silence, and pray.

The meditation room, the room of silence, and the hotel chapel offer a chance to step away from everyday life for a moment and find inner peace. The monastery church, the crypt, and the adoration chapel are also important places of spiritual life at Hegne Monastery.

Art and Culture at Hegne Abbey

At Hegne Abbey, art and faith engage in a vibrant dialogue. Rotating exhibitions, artist residencies, and original works by contemporary artists displayed in the guest rooms as well as in the conference and work spaces define the unique atmosphere of the Hotel St. Elisabeth.
Concerts and cultural events enrich life on the monastery grounds and foster dialogue between art, religion, and society.

Creative Workshop at the Hotel St. Elisabeth

The creative workshop has been located in the grounds of the Hotel St. Elisabeth for more than ten years. Here, creativity and art—as expressions of human wholeness—take center stage.

The “Creativity & Art” focus is all about rediscovering your own creativity and, in the process, finding inner peace, inspiration, and renewed strength.

Regular creative sessions, introductory days, and multi-day programs combine meditation, experiences in nature, and creative activities. This opens up new ways of connecting with oneself and creates space for inner peace and renewed strength.
