I. Our Processing of Personal Data When You Use Our Facebook Page at
The data you submit to our Facebook page—such as comments, reviews, photos, “likes,” or tweets—is published by the social network Facebook, and we do not use or process it at any time for purposes other than those listed below.
We process the data you enter on our Facebook page by commenting on and sharing it, and we use this data as a basis for communicating with you via the social network. We reserve the right to delete content if we deem it necessary. The legal basis for processing the data in these cases is our legitimate interest in our public relations work and our product and corporate advertising pursuant to Section 6(1)(g) of the KDR-OG.
If you contact us via our Facebook page or send us inquiries, the data you provide will be processed exclusively for the purpose of handling and responding to your contact request and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry pursuant to Section 6(1)(g) of the KDR-OG. If your contact request is aimed at concluding a contract or carrying out pre-contractual measures, the additional legal basis for processing is Section 6(1)(c) of the KDR-OG. We will delete the data processed in connection with your contact request once storage is no longer necessary, or we will restrict processing if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion. With regard to personal data, we assume that further storage is not necessary if the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved.
To respond to your inquiries, we may refer you to alternative, secure communication channels. If you wish to prevent Facebook from processing personal data you have transmitted to us, please contact us by other means, such as the address listed in our legal notice.
Unless you exercise your right to object to the processing of your personal data based on a balancing of interests, we will delete your data immediately upon the cessation of the aforementioned legitimate interests or restrict processing if legal obligations within the meaning of Section 6(1)(d) of the KDR-OG preclude deletion.
II. Processing of Personal Data by the Social Network Operator
When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook processes, among other things, your IP address and other information stored on your computer in the form of cookies. This information is provided to us, as the operators of the Facebook page, in aggregated form as statistical data regarding the use of our page (“Page Insights”), but does not allow us to draw any conclusions about personal data.
As the operator of the Facebook page, we cannot determine in which countries—within or outside the EU—to what extent, or for how long Facebook stores the data, nor whether and to what extent Facebook complies with existing deletion obligations, what analyses and linkages are made with the data, or to whom the data is disclosed.
In particular, we cannot determine whether—and, if so, to what extent—Facebook, regardless of whether you are logged in or registered as a user of the social network, uses web tracking tools and your profile and behavioral data—for example, to analyze your habits, personal relationships, or preferences—or to what extent activities on the fan page are attributed to individual users. We also do not know whether, and if so to what extent, Facebook uses data processed from your visit to our Facebook page for its own purposes or whether this data is shared with third parties.
If you are a registered Facebook user and are logged into Facebook while visiting our Facebook page, a cookie containing your Facebook ID is stored on your computer, which allows the operator of the social network to track that you have visited our Facebook page and how you used it. If you wish to prevent this, you should log out of Facebook or disable the “Stay Logged In” feature, delete the cookies stored on your device, and close and restart your browser.

III. Your Rights as a Data Subject
If data is collected to safeguard our legitimate interests pursuant to Section 6(1)(g) of the KDR-OG, you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You have the right to access the personal data stored about you, as well as the right to have inaccurate data corrected or deleted, provided that one of the grounds specified in Section 19 of the KDR-OG applies, e.g., if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. You also have the right to restrict processing if one of the conditions specified in § 20 KDR-OG applies, and, in the cases specified in § 22 KDR-OG, the right to data portability. Furthermore, pursuant to § 24 KDR-OG, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations, you have the right, pursuant to § 48 KDR-OG, to file a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority. This right to lodge a complaint may be exercised, in particular, with the data protection supervisory authority in the jurisdiction where you are located or where the alleged violation occurred. The Joint Order Data Protection Officer South, Wittelsbacherring 9, 53115 Bonn, is responsible for data protection supervision within the meaning of the KDR-OG.
IV. Joint Liability Pursuant to § 28 KDR-OG and Contact Information
Facebook, as the operator of the website, and ProGast Hotelbetriebs-GmbH are joint controllers pursuant to § 28 KDR-OG.
We process data as outlined in Section I; Facebook collects and processes data as described in Section II.
You may exercise the rights listed in Section III at any time, either with us or with Facebook Ireland Limited (“Facebook Ireland”).

Furthermore, Facebook Ireland is responsible for ensuring the security of data processing. We have no influence over whether Facebook will actually cease processing or whether your data will be deleted by Facebook once the purpose for processing no longer applies.
