The exhibition at the Hotel St. Elisabeth, titled “Where Eyes Look Upon You—The Bible in the Faces of Emil Wachter,” opened on November 19, 2023, and closed on January 28, 2024.
On display were 34 color lithographs from the “Singen Trilogy.” This series comprises a total of 126 sheets in three portfolios, each containing 42 images.
The exhibition took place at the request of Pastor Gebhard Reichert, who claimed the entire collection as his own.
On February 7, 2024, Pastor Gebhard Reichert presented the entire “Singen Trilogy” to the “Hegne Monastery Foundation” as a gift. He presented the work, consisting of three portfolios, to Prof. Dr. Florian Kluger, a member of the foundation’s board, and Sr. Benedicta-Maria Kramer, another member of the foundation’s board.
It was very important to him and a great joy to donate these impressive paintings to a place where they will be appreciated. Thank you very much, Pastor Reichert!
